Leaves

Well, the leaves have started to fall in earnest, and it's always a losing battle between gordon and the rake. This year, however, he's decided to bring in the heavy equipment: he hired a 'billy goat'. It's a clever machine that hoovers up the leaves, mulches them, and then spits them out in to a large sack (pic above of half of the yard hoovered up). The sack was then emptied in to the hired trailer for a quick, easy trip to the dump. We'll have to do it again at least twice more this year, as the leaves continue to fall off of our amazingly large tree, but it seems quite worth it compared to the many bin sacks we struggled to fill last autumn! And, the girls LOVED the fact that daddy's car was in the back garden!!

Gordon's Birthday

The girls made their daddy a hedgehog cake for his birthday! No cadbury's buttons for the spikes, but we made do :)

Mini-Break

The girls had a couple of days away from preschool, so we took the opportunity to drive north. We ended up in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. It was fun, eh? Swam outdoor in a hot spring, found a lovely park, and, as you can imagine, the camera came out!

A Trip to the Hairdresser's

Well, we decided it was time for the girls to get a hair cut. We went drastic... and they were so excited! Baeleigh even helped tell the lady what kind of cut she wanted :) And, as she saw herself in the mirror for the first time after the haircut was done, she exclaimed:
"I'm like a little Amanda!"

Having Fun

We've been having a bit of an indian summer this year, so we went out to a park to take advantage of the lovely evening. The girls climbed the hill with daddy, took turns being 'queen of the mountain' on a large rock, and of course, I had my camera near by. Even played with the self timer a bit and got some family shots. Please check out this album, and leave a comment to say you've been here! cheers!
